Location

Bell Valley is located within Anderson Valley, an area within the Navarro River Watershed. While a popular resting point for people driving to the coast on Hwy 128 along its beautiful winding country roads, Anderson Valley is also a destination of its own – a pristine, sheltered valley surrounded by verdant rolling hills. The small town of Boonville at the heart of the Valley houses many of its residents and reflects a distinctive culture that, in its food, shops and farming practices, embraces the best that both tradition and innovation have to offer us today.

Highlights of the region include hiking in Hendy Woods State Park, a stunning redwood forest along the Navarro River. Adjacent to the park in Philo is the Apple Farm, with beautiful gardens and a large variety of apples and home-made produce, including some of the best apple juice and cider to be found.

We recommend a visit to Pennyroyal Farm for a chance to tour a goat and sheep dairy, and sample award-winning cheeses. There are also plenty of local wineries to choose from, and our own solar-powered Anderson Valley Brewing Company. Dinner at The Boonville Hotel could offer your group a gourmet, delicious meal while experiencing the town’s nightlife. And for a taste of Boonville’s farming scene, check out the local Foodshed and visit the Farmers Market on Saturday mornings.
